The thicker the head, the more of a tom and less of a snare it becomes. Sensitivity will suffer, but if you're okay with losing some of it, it's a great head. It will definitely open the snare up. If you want something really dry go with a Hazy 200. The thinner the reso, the more sensitive and resonant it is.
